You can read the story in the clipping attached. I actually don't have words to describe my feelings about this, however I would just like everyone to know that this type of thing happens all the time.

Ye, this is really shocking. My sister is a Sharpei owner and she told me about it. It makes me sick.

Why do they even need a petition to put those asswipes away?

The petition is being emailed around. Why a petition you ask? Well, because as far as I know people don't go to jail for abusing animals.

Here is an example of someone who deserves to be jailed but won't. I'm actually interested to see what punishment is meted out to him, if any. I'm sure I'll feel sick after it all though...

Animal Welfare organisations have called for the strongest possible sentence. They want Seemo to pay a R20 000 fine, and be barred from having animals for at least three years.
The SPCA will continue to do inspections on the 2001 lotto winner’s home in Pretoria.

He won the Lotto a while before all of this happened. Sick part is in court he said he could not afford to pay a fine.
If it wasn't for the hard work put in to have this man punished the court would never have found out that he had in fact won the Lotto and had more than enough money to spend.

Sure, but the supposed omniscient God would have known that he would eventually do this to his dog at the time that he won the Lotto.
