  1. Media Server & Software

AnyDVD works well. Also, MakeMKV is another program that works very well - it will allow you to rip a DVD or BD straight to an MKV file which you then can throw at HandBrake
  2. Rock Climbing

Pull ups were never something I was good at - but last time I tried I was able to do 3 or 4 sets of ten without too much hassle. The one area climbing has helped the most has been my grip strength, which has just over doubled to about 54kg per hand. Reactor, we have a climbing group, which usually has a few people climbing most days, if you'd like to join it. On another note, I've just had too take 4 weeks off. Managed a bicep tear in my left arm (being stupid). Man, injuries are the worst
  3. Rock Climbing

Almost none. Hadn't done any exercise, especially strength based exercise, in near on 4 years (just didn't have the time). I've started using the rowing machine as part of my warm up routine, but the strength has developed just from climbing itself.
  4. Rock Climbing

A friend introduced me to a new sport about 4 months ago - Rock Climbing. I'm at the strongest I've been, pretty much ever. There is a world class climbing gym here in JHB, called CityRock, and it is an amazing place! They also have a Cape Town Facility CityROCK Johannesburg CityROCK Cape Town The JHB Branch is having their Birthday this month, so they have a bunch of specials on a lot of their items. They're also having an open day on the weekend of the 15 & 16th October with free entrance and free introductory courses, you just need to pay for the gear rental. Anyone here done any climbing?
  5. HDD "Forgetting" and "Remembering" Data

Have you tried using gparted to copy all the data off or maybe correct the formatting?

So a few years after getting some amazing Wharfedale Diamond 10.2s from @Deezil, I finally completed the 2.1 Setup I was planning on Picked up a Wharfedale WH-D10 Active Subwoofer from Takealot on their AV Deals.

Lightning strike last night. Luckily it fried only the Smart Switch and APC 1500UPS. Received replacements today, and my network is up and running, but R12k Later

  9. I have a similar chip, (i5-4690K) and I have a similar temperature range with a Silver Arrow SB-E Extreme. Your chip is rated to a max of 72degC before it freaks out. You will probably see temperature improvements by changing your config as suggested and by cleaning it, but it's not going to magically drop to 20degC. Watercooling is primarily going stabilise the temperatures (so a smaller delta Temperature) from what I understand about them.

  11. Banks Your Views?

I have had very few issues with FNB, so I'd recommend them from that point. I would jump ship to Investec in a heartbeat however

I thought so. It's going in to a Little Mushkin USB3 external enclosure for me to take around with my Surface 3 - The surface 3's 128GB storage is fine generally, but the added oomph from a little external will be perfect for the travelling

  15. I'm keeping my desktop on win 8.1 for the moment (already done a brandspanking new install on it recently), but I've updated my Surface 3 to 10 - and i'm enjoying it
